We are often asked why we use this instead of that.
Well, this is why.
|
|
Why .051” wire?
When you use a bucktail with a top hook, the wire is going to get bent
when a fish is fought on the top hook.
The .051” is PLENTY strong enough to handle the fight, but is
also easy to straighten out after the fight to get the bait working
properly again.
Also, the clevises tend to have less problems spinning on .051”, as
opposed to .062”.
Why Silicone?
After testing many different types of skirting material, silicone is by
far the most versatile. It
breathes much better than conventional hair, especially the round
skirting that we use.
It also is available in more color combinations that allow a more
customizable bait.
Why Silicone / HoloFlash Hybrid? If you like the flash of the HoloFlash material, then you'll love the hybrid. It combines the breathing and managabilty of the silicone skirt, but add the extra flash that the HoloFlash can produce.
Why .025” blades?
It is simply the style we chose to produce.
.040” blades are great blades, but produce a different action.
We want to be consistent on our standard style of baits, so this
is what we went with. The
thinner blades are a little lighter and tend to flare more and create
more lift, while also moving more water.
The .040” thick blades have their place, but the versatility of
the .025” blades are hard to beat.
We have yet to have one of our baits fail.
We hope this streak continues, but by all means let us know if
one of our baits causes you any problems.
We want our customers COMPLETELY satisfied with our baits. |
